UK DNA Working Group publishes report of successful eDNA webinar week in leading journal

The paper is published in the latest volume of Environmental DNA journal.

In January 2022 the UKEOF UK DNA Working Group ran a week-long series of webinars that attracted a large international audience. They provided an opportunity for researchers in the field of environmental DNA to come together and exchange ideas and information.

Over 500 people registered to attend the webinars, with attendance at individual webinars ranging from 170 to over 260.

The recordings for the conference have been available on our website for sometime. Now we are pleased to announce that a short write-up of the webinar week has been published in the January 2023 volume of Environmental DNA journal. In the paper, lead author Lori Lawson Handley and colleagues summarise key points from the presentations and discussions, with sections on:

  • methodological and conceptual advances, obstacles and solutions
  • tackling real-world needs
  • the evolving landscape of DNA research and application.
