January 2019 - Application of drones in environmental regulation and monitoring conference (Jointly with ShARE)

Experts from UKEOF and the Shared Agency Regulatory Evidence Programme (ShARE) met at a two day conference to discuss how the use of drone technology can protect and enhance the environment. The event was hosted by UKEOF partner Natural Resources Wales (NRW) and took place at Glyndwr University, Wrexham, from 29-30 January 2019.

January 2018 - Freshwater Monitoring Review and Future Strategies Workshop: Webinar

On 17 January 2018 UKEOF organised a webinar to share outcomes of the Freshwater Monitoring Review and Future Strategies Workshop that was held in Birmingham in November 2017.  The purpose of the webinar was to share best practice and opportunities for collaborative working.

This project works alongside the UKEOF Challenges and New Approaches workshop report to identify innovative approaches to monitoring and improve our understanding of the environment, whilst reducing costs.

 


 

December 2015 - Water evidence UK Workshop

Participants from the Environment Agency (EA), Natural Resources Wales (NRW), Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) and The Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) agreed a shared approach to aquatic monitoring, covering principles to use to prioritise what, and how, to monitor, working with partners and access to data.  The paper prepared as a result of the meeting is The UK framework for aquatic monitoring.
