The 5-year programme of the UK-EOF commenced April 2008. The programme was originally split into a series of 5 workstreams, the objectives and activities for which, are set out in the UK-EOF Delivery Plan. The workstreams are interlinked and their activities cross cutting. The overall vision for the UK-EOF is documented in ERFF Report 05 UK Environmental Framework.
In 2010/11 the UK-EOF will shift focus from tool development to providing strategic and operational leadership to support the dynamic work of the funders and partners of the UK-EOF Community. In doing so the UK-EOF will encourage the use of the UK-EOF tool kit and assist in the making of transparent, evidence based decisions that allow the optimisation of public investments and partnership working to deliver best value.
Further work to implement the Data Initiative will also be taken forward along with the identification of environmental Socio-economic observation requirements that are needed to fully answer environmental science questions and issues.
Due to the dynamic nature of the UK-EOF Programme, the Delivery Plan remains a working document of the UK-EOF Management Group. It will be updated quarterly after each Management Group Meeting.
